Fred Stanley age 77 of Nashville, passed away on Friday August 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Mckinley Jones, W. J. Tramel and J. B. Taylor; sister-in-law, Ruth Taylor. Mr. Stanley was a member of Donelson First Baptist Chruch, member of Jerry Baxter Eastern Star, and McWhirtersville No. 375 Mason Lodge, and worked as a carpenter in construction work. He is survived by wife, Linda Stanley of Nashville; daughter, Myra Kay Lancaster of Florida; son, Christopher Stanley of Florida; sisters-in-law, Marguerite Jones of Liberty and Jane Tramel of AL.; several special nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service and interment will be held Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:00AM at DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jeffery Smith officiating. There will be no visitation held. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service at 11:AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donelson First Baptist Church or take your family out to eat. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Leigh Brian Felmley

Leigh Brian Felmley age 53, of Smithville, formerly of California, passed away Sunday August 21, 2022 at his residence. He was born April 3, 1969 to his parents Neil Brian Felmley and Michele Sharon McNeely. Mr. Felmley worked as an Electrician at Nashville Airport. He is survived by his wife, Robyn Duffey-Felmley of Smithville; step-daughter, Taylor Emerson- of Raytown, Missouri; parents, Michele “Mike” and Tim Scott of Marble Hill, MO.; 2 brothers, Brian Scott of Sherman, TX., and Tim Scott, JR. of Sun City, CA.; sister, Jenel Worby of Hesperia, CA.; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family have honored Mr. Felmley’s request to be cremated. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Rebecca “Becky” Louise Reis Davis

Rebecca “Becky” Louise Reis Davis of Smithville, TN was born in Shelby, Ohio to William Arthur Reis and Mary Morris Reis. She was a member of the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in McMinnville, TN. She transitioned to eternal life on August 18, 2022 at home surrounded by family.
Visitation at Love-Cantrell Funeral Home in Smithville, TN will be on Thursday August 25th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The funeral will be at Saint Philip’s Episcopal Church in Nashville, TN Saturday August 27th, visitation at 1:00 PM with funeral at 2:00 PM.
Becky was a “True Blue” graduate of MTSU and a public school teacher for more than 30 years. She was a dedicated community servant. She was an officer in the DeKalb County TN Retired Teachers’ Association; a member of The Order of the Daughters of the King, and a tutor for local elementary school students.
Becky was a huge TN Titans Fan, she enjoyed reading, traveling, painting, participating in the DeKalb County Senior Center, and spending time at Center Hill Lake with her family and host of guests.
Becky never met a stranger and was “Granny” to her family and all of their friends who will miss her dearly. Having lost her mother at a young age, Becky was also a mother to her siblings, helping raise them and continuing to care for them into their adult years.
Becky was married to her husband Frank for nearly 50 years, during which they built a legacy of love and family bonds that will last for generations.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Truman Davis, parents William Arthur Reis, Mary Morris Reis, her step-mother, Dorothy Reis, her brother William “Bill” (Enid) Reis and her nephew Isaac (Ashton) Parks.
Becky leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Mary (Chris) Brady, Sally (La’Mar) Franklin. Grandchildren, Ryan (Rebecca) Milke, Erin (Christian) Moritz, Shannon (Byron) Conerty, Dillon Brady, Leya Franklin, and Isaiah Franklin. Great-grandchildren, Lindsay Owen, Jax Milke and Oliver Moritz. Siblings, Barbara “Babs” Thompson, Barbara Parks, Sterling “Buddy” Batt. Sister-in-Law, Kathleen Davis. Nieces and nephews, Jennifer Thompson, Matthew (Susan) Thompson, and Alicia McAniff.
Becky also leaves to cherish her memory, her loyal companion, Jimmy “Steve” Gunter, with whom she enjoyed riding their side by side four wheeler; visiting with friends at the Senior Center; camping, and drinking their coffee on the front porch.
Contributions in her memory can be made to Dekalb County TN Retired Teachers.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support during Ms. Becky’s illness.

Mr. Steve Allen Sutherland age 49 of McMinnville, TN passed away on Saturday morning, August 20, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.
Mr. Sutherland was born on April 7, 1973 to his parents, the late Gary & Linda King Sutherland. Also preceding him in death is a brother, Jim Sutherland. He was a Nurseryman & was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 2pm from the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, from 10am until the time of the service at 2pm.
Survivors include his Wife, Amanda Martin Sutherland of McMinnville, TN. Daughter, Isebella Faith Caldwell of McMinnville, TN. Sister, Diane (Wayne) Tenpenny of McMinnville, TN & a Brother, Joe (Kim) Sutherland of Spencer, TN. Father & Mother-Law, Tony (Anita) Martin of Smithville, TN. 2 Brothers-in-law, Travis Dewane Martin of McMinnville, TN & Austin Jered Martin of Smithville, TN. Sister-in-law, Mary Rogers of McMinnville, TN. Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews & Cousins also survive.

Elizabeth Inez Bain age 83 of Smithville passed Tuesday evening at her residence. She was a retired press operator with Federal Mogul and of the Pentecostal faith.
Mrs. Bain was born on July 5, 1939 in Smithville, TN to her parents Earnest & Wilma Page Vanatta. Also preceding her in death were 2 husbands, Jay Loyd Young and Alton Bain, 2 children, James Young and Tammy Jennings, 1 brother, James Vanatta and 2 sisters- Faye Pedigo and Billie Sanders. Stepson, Kenneth Bain.3 Stepdaughters, Eva Roberts, Nina Self, and Annette Muncy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18 at 4pm with Bro. Jerry Braswell officiating. Burial will follow at DeKalb Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from, 6pm until 8pm and on Thursday from 8am until the time of the service at 4pm.
She is survived by 5 children, Sandra & David Bain, Doug & Laura Young, Dickie Bain and Melissa & Ricky Murphy all of Smithville and Donna Brock of Texas. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. 2 Stepsons, Buck Bain and James Alton (Jessica) Bain. 2 Stepdaughters, Dorita Taylor and Sammy Dorris Miller. 1 sister, Dean and Jimmy Johnson of Smithville. A special friend, Brandi Cantrell and caregivers, Nikki Martin and Amber Bain also survive. The family would like to thank Avalon Hospice, Adorations and Suncrest.

Mary Arnold Foster age 89 passed away Sunday August 14, 2022, at Willow Branch Health and Rehab in McMinnville. She was born May 23, 1933, to her parents the late James and Alton Smith Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ike Alexander, Nick Alexander, Jimmy Alexander, and Bill Alexander; sisters Dorothy Beckham and Audrey Elam. Ms. Mary was of the Baptist Faith and was a Homemaker. She is survived by children, Carolyn (Mike) Bozarth of McMinnville, Terry Arnold of Greenbrier, Tn., and Darlene (Bill) Hughes of Goodlettsville; grandchildren, Lindsey (Danny) George, Jessica (Dave) Kelly, Kayla (David) Webb, Jacob Bozarth, Jared (Lauren) Bozarth; great-grandchildren Truman, John, Sophia, Katelynn, Jackson, Jordyn, Dawson, Hudson, and Carson; sisters, Frances (Jackie) Rigsby of Smithville, and Nancy Colwell of McMinnville. Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday August 17, 2022, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jeremy Kliewer officiating and burial to follow in Taylor Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 11:00AM until the time of the service at 1:00PM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel.
