Tigerettes Pound Cannon County 11-1

An 8 run 5th inning helped propel the DCHS Tigerettes to an 11-1 victory over Cannon County on Tuesday.

The Tigerettes scored 11 runs on 12 hits and made 1 error. Cannon County scored 1 run on 6 hits and made 6 errors.

DC scored 1 run in the 2nd inning, 2 runs in the 3rd, and 8 runs in the 5th inning. Cannon County scored 1 run in the 4th inning.

The Tigerettes, already up 3 to 1 by the end of the 4th inning,  exploded for more in the 5th inning  sparked by a triple from Ellie Cripps, a single by Kennedy Polk, a home run by Kenzie France, an error on a ball put in play by Maddison Parsley, and a double by Braya Murphy.

For the game Jacey Hatfield had 3 hits, Megan Walker, Braya Murphy, and Kennedy Polk each had 2 hits, and Kenzie France, Joni Robinson, Maddison Parsley, and Ellie Cripps each had a hit.

Kenzie France took the win for the Tigerettes. She surrendered 1 run on  6 hits over 5 innings, striking out 8 and walking none.




Bulldogs Lose 8-3 at Livingston

Livingston handed the DeKalb West School Bulldogs an 8 to 3 loss Friday in front of a home crowd.

The Bulldogs scored all 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th inning. The rally was led by a single from Jackson Arnold and an error on a ball put in play by Cam Caballero.

Livingston scored 4 runs in the 1st, 3 runs in the 2nd, and 1 run in the 3rd inning.

DeKalb West scored 3 runs on 4 hits and made 3 errors. Livingston scored 8 runs on 7 hits and made 2 errors.

Briz Trapp was on the hill for the Bulldogs. He surrendered 8 runs on 7 hits over 3 innings, striking out 6 and walking  1. Ian Colwell threw 1 inning in relief and struck out 1.

Jackson Arnold led the Bulldogs with 2 hits in 2 at bats and Ean Jones and Gabe Hollingsworth each had a hit.




Macon County Takes Down Tigerettes 7-4

Macon County got an early lead and built on it throughout the game enroute to a 7 to 4 victory over the DCHS Tigerettes at Lafayette Thursday.

The Tigerettes scored 4 runs on 6 hits and made 2 errors. Macon County got 7 runs on 9 hits and made 1 error.

DC scored 1 run in the 5th and 3 runs in the 7th inning. Macon County scored 1 run in the 1st,  2 runs in the 2nd, and 4 runs in the 4th inning.

Allyson Shoulders was the winning pitcher for Macon County. She surrendered 4 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, striking out 9 and walking 5.

Madison Whitehead took the loss for the Tigerettes. She went 5 innings, allowing 7 runs on 9 hits and walking 1. Emme Colwell came in for 1 inning.

The Tigerettes made a run in the 7th inning thanks in part to a single by Jacey Hatfield and a double by Kenzie France. Hatfield had a total of 3 hits in the game and Joni Robinson 2

Macon County’s big inning came in the 4th driven by singles from Madilyn Goodall and Rachel Ritchie and a triple by Abby Shoulders.




Bulldogs Overcome Early Lead by Algood to Win 5-3

The DeKalb West School Bulldogs overcame an early lead by Algood to win 5 to 3 on Monday.

After watching the visitors score 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning, the Bulldogs answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the frame. DeKalb West also scored runs in the 2nd and 5th innings to get the win

In the 2nd inning, Gabe Hollingsworth hit into a fielder’s choice, scoring 1 run.

The Bulldogs scored 5 runs on 5 hits and made 1 error. Algood scored 3 runs on 6 hits and made 3 errors.

Konner Young earned the win for the Bulldogs. He allowed 6 hits and 3 runs over 5 innings, striking out 8 and walking 1

Hollingsworth led DeKalb West with 2 hits in three at bats. Ty Webb, Konner Young, and Briz Trapp each had a hit.




Tigers Get Even with Lions Winning 4-3 Tuesday

The DeKalb County Tigers claimed a 4-3 victory on Tuesday, despite a big push by Cannon County in the 3 inning. It was sweet revenge for the Tigers who had lost 5-4 the day before at Woodbury.

DeKalb County scored 4 runs on 6 hits and made no errors. Cannon County scored 3 runs on 9 hits and made no errors.

The Tigers scored 1 run in the 1st, 2 runs in the 2nd and 1 run in the 3rd inning. The Lions scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning.

Cody Antoniak led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Tigers. He lasted 4 innings, allowing 8 hits and 3 runs. He struck out 5 and walked 4. Avery South came in for 3 innings and gave up 1 hit. He struck out 5 and walked 2.

Grayson Redmon led DeKalb County with 2 hits. Skylar Sparks, Derek Young, Luke Oliver, and Daniel Puckett each had a hit.
