Mr. Cleo McDonald age 88 of Cookeville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, August 14, 2020 at Signature Health Care in Cookeville. He was born December 15, 1931 to his parents, the late Ezra and Myrah Belle Henry McDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter, Sylvia Diane McDonald; grandson, Josh Rice; 5 brothers, Troy, Hoy, Marchel, Ray and Dallas McDonald; mother of his children, Anna Ruth McDonald; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Ina Mai Hendrixson. Cleo was saved at the age of 72, and was a member of Stevens Street Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army in the 96th Field Artillery and was in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Cleo worked as a brick and block mason. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted and loving wife, Paulette Hendrixson McDonald of Cookeville; 4 daughters, Shan (Jim) Ellis of Trenton, MI, Karen Olds of TN, Teresa Barrett of Grayton Beach, FL and GG (Paul) Davis of Athens, AL; 2 step-children, Jason Parsley of Panama City Beach, FL and Paula Yost of Atlanta, GA; 11 grandchildren, Cruz McDonald Ellis, Chris Rice, Kelly Olds, Dannielle Olds, Jessica Olds, Ericka Barrett, Jarred Barrett, Alec Yarbrough, Kaleb Goode, Abby Vinson and Hannah Goode; several great-grandchildren; sister, Vera Goolsby of Cookeville. Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Stevens Street Baptist Church in Cookeville with Bro. Scott Parkison officiating, burial will follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and Military Honors will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Monday 11:AM until the time of the service at 1 PM at Stevens Street Baptist Church. Inez Malone Anderson age 87 of Alexandria passed away Thursday August 13, 2020 at the Lebanon Health Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon. She was born December 10, 1932 to her parents, the late Vernon and Belvie Mae Herman Hale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by by her husband: Joe Robert Anderson; Son: Billy Malone; 3 Sisters: Offalon Malone, Elizabeth Scott, Maurine Scott; 3 Brothers: James Hale, Jack Hale and infant brother Kenneth Hale. Ms. Inez was retired from Hartman Luggage and Sunset Restaurant, a member of New Hope Baptist Church and attended Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale officiating and burial to follow in the Hillview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 2 PM until 6 PM and Sunday 10 AM until the time of the service at 2 PM. Due to the COVID-19, the Governors Executive Orders 38 and 51 and Social Distancing Guidelines; Our pews in the Chapel are marked off to respect the guidelines and allow approximately 100-125 people for the service, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise Social Distancing. 61 year old Sharon Kaye Truett Ausbrooks of Watertown died Thursday at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Clyde Truett and Sarah Faye Purser. Ausbrooks was a member of the Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. Her parents preceded her in death. She was a machine operator for Sheppards Specialty Papers of Watertown. Survivors include her husband, Terry Phillips of Watertown. A daughter, Devon Truett of Watertown. Grandchildren, Adrian Simmons, Jr and Jaythan Truett of Watertown. Sisters and brother, Nancy Stanley of Prosperity, Clyde Jr. and Connie Truett of Gallatin and Rhonda and Dennis Bass of Alexandria. Nieces, Paige Bass, Alesha “Nikki” Bass, and Makenna Lomas. The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria is in charge of the arrangements.

Charlotte Teresa Macey age 78 of Smithville passed away Wednesday August 12, 2020 at her son’s residence in Smithville. She was born December 16, 1941 to her parents the late Chester and Charlotte Wolford Martin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Macey; and her grandparents. She worked several years at S & W Mfg. and worked at the Senior Center. She is survived by her children, Woodrow (Beverly) Burns of Florida; Kimberly Baker of Liberty, and Robert Macey of Smithville; grandchildren, Michelle, Valerie, Nichole, Monica, Ryan, and Little Woody Burns; several great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren; brothers, Chet (Lynn) Martin, and Joel (Sue) Martin; host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; good friend Pam; and loving neighbors, The Adcock’s. The family has honored Ms. Charlotte’s request to be cremated and no public services are planned. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mary “Libby” Elizabeth Hale age 57,of Dowelltown passed away Monday morning at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital. She was born November 6, 1962 to her parents the late Willie “Sheep” Eugene and Jessie Vada Atnip Thomas. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Dean Thomas; brother, Jackie Eugene Thomas. Mary worked in factories and was affiliated with Dowelltown Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Mark Hale of Dowelltown; daughters, Sarah Thomas and her partner, Casey McElfresh of Kentucky, Jessica (Andy) Pack of Smithville, and Sabrina (Jordon) Melton of Dowelltown; grandchildren, Ella, Ava and Briar Pack, Jay Austin Melton; sister Mary Lou (Danny) McGuire of Smithville; brother, Jessie (Rhonda) Thomas of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Thursday August 13, 2020 at 1:PM with Bro. Richard Williams officiating and burial to follow at Hale Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 4:PM until 7:PM and Thursday 10:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM. Deloris Darnell Hutchings age 51 of Smithville passed away at her residence Saturday August 8, 2020. She was born January 4, 1969 to her parents Edward “Buck” and Janie Barnes Hutchings. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Jamie Douglas Hutchings; grandparents, Everett and Louise Hutchings and Herman and Vella Barnes; many aunts and uncles also preceded her in death. Ms. Hutchings worked at Prospect and was a homemaker, was also affiliated with The Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents, Edward “Buck” and Janie Hutchings of Smithville; brothers, Donathan (Kelly) Hutchings of AL, and Jonathan (Tina) Hutchings of McMinnville; sister Janet (Joey) Nichols of Celina; niece and special caregiver, Kelly (John) Licht of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends also survive. Funeral service will be 11:AM Wednesday August 12, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Michael Hale, Bro. Donald Haggard and Bro. Wendell Judkins officiating and burial to follow in Whorton Springs Cemetery.
