77 year old Frances Stults passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her residence. She was a faithful member of Smithville Church of Christ and former owner, with her husband, of Sonny’s Bait and Tackle. Ms. Frances loved God, her family and enjoyed sewing and baking. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 5 at 1 pm in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with interment to follow at 3:30 at Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Crossville. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Stults; Parents, Rufus and Dean Harris; Daughter, Marsha Herman; and brother, Vernon Harris. Survivors of Ms. Stults include two children: Kenny (Tavia) Stults and Kim Stults all of Smithville; Six grandchildren: Jackie Davidson of Smithville, Julie (Mike) Richardson of Mt. Juliet, Jodee (Luke) Prichard of Alexandria, Jacob Herman of Nashville, Katie (Jon) Slager of Murfreesboro, and Sonny (Tara) Stults of Smithville; Eight great grandchildren: Jessica Davidson; Gunner, Corbin, and Oakley Stults; Livy Slager, Zane Richardson, Kennedee and Katie Jo Prichard; Sisters: Peggy Houston, Betty Lemming, and Diane Phillips, and Brothers: Harry Harris, Lowell Harris, and Donald Harris. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Rebecca Lane Vaughn

Rebecca Lane Vaughn age 83, passed away Monday morning at her residence. She was born February 24, 1936 to her parents, the late James A. and Mary Gertrude Cripps George. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell D. Vaughn; brothers, John Robert and James Harold George; sister Vernie Mae George; infant brother, Ollie George. Ms. Vaughn worked in Nursery and was a founding member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Russ) Mullen of Woodbury, and her son, Terry (Charlotte) Vaughn of Smithville; grandchildren, Chelsea, Trevor, and Marcus Vaughn, Ben and Rachel Mullen; brother, Hank George of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews; and lots of friends also survive. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 11:AM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ted Stoffel officiating and burial to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday 4:00PM until 8:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM until the time of the service at 11:00AM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Joe Mason Bond

Joe Mason Bond of St. James, Missouri passed away Saturday December 28, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Home. He was 68 years of age.
Joe was born in Smithville, Tennessee the son of Garrison (G.L). and Grady Bain Bond.
On June 24, 2006 in St. James he was united in marriage to Alice Beatrice Maynard.
Joe Bond is survived by his mother Grady Bond of Smithville, Tennessee, his wife Alice Beatrice Bond of the home in St. James. Son: Phillip Bond (Maria) and Andrew Bond both of McMinnville, Tennessee and Jack Bryd (Andrea) of St. James. Daughters: Amy Judkins of McMinnville, Tennessee and Donna Lorts (Steve) of St. James. Brothers: Danny Bond of Smithville, Tennessee and John Bond of Draper, Utah.
Sisters Linda Gonzles of Waxihatches, Texas and Kathy Stanley of Smithville, Tennessee, along with 8 grandchildren.
Joe Bond grew up in Smithville, Tennessee and after meeting Bea, they moved to St. James. He loved taking care of his farm, mowing and brush hogging his acreage and enjoyed his fishing pond. He was a 34 year Career Army Veteran, and was not shy to share his experiences and story of the Army Life. He will be truly missed.
Joe Bond will lie in state Monday December 30, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 31, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Lynn Huggins officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Veterans Assistance League. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Jo Ann Page, age 74, of Smithville passed away at her residence on Saturday, December 28. She was a girls slow pitch softball coach and field manager and facilitator of church league softball. Page was also a member of the Smithville Church of Christ and was retired from Federal Mogul. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, December 31 at 2pm in the chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home with interment to follow in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 11am-7pm and on Tuesday from 8am until the time of service at 2pm. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Page; her parents, HD and Tellie McCormack, and 2 brothers, Arlon McCormack and Garent McCormack and In-laws, Ewin Vanatta, Alene and Bob Snyder, W.J. and Ruthie Page, and Ruby and T.J. Pinegar. Survivors include her son: Kelvin (Rea) Page of Hillsboro; 2 Grandchildren: Morgan (Jordan) Atnip and Bray (Sarah) Page all of Smithville; 2 Great grandchildren: Ryder Page and Kaden West of Smithville; 3 Sisters: Johnnie Sue (LeRoy) Simerly of Quebeck, Carlene (Charlie) Butts of Quebeck, and Patsy Paquette of McMinnville; 2 Brothers: William (Betty) McCormack of McMinnville, and Junior McCormack of McMinnville; Special nephew: Timmy McCormack of Centertown; Sisters-in-law: Helen (Charles) Cantrell and Barbie Vanatta; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Dorothy “Dot” Dean Thomas Webster

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Dean Thomas Webster, age 85 of Sykes, TN, passed away Friday, December 27, 2019.
Mrs. Webster was born September 18, 1934 in Liberty, TN, a daughter of the late James Ed Thomas and Ollie Poss Thomas. She married J T Webster on December 22, 1956 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 2018. She was also preceded in death by siblings; Wilma Taylor, Mazelle Cruz, Frances Frazier, Lulu Shelton, Fanny Todd, and James Thomas.
Mrs. Webster was a 1952 graduate of Liberty High School. She began worked at DTC Communications full time for thirty years from 1969 until her retirement in 1999. After her retirement, she worked continued to work at DTC Communications part time from 1999 until 2013. Mrs. Webster was a longtime member of the Union Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, having taught Sunday School for several years. Mrs. Dot was an Auxiliary Member of the Gideons International. She and her late husband, J T were both very active in the Gideons.
Mrs. Webster is survived by Two Sons; Greg (Pixie) Webster of Gordonsville, TN, and Gavin (Kelli) Webster of Watertown, TN. Grandchildren; Jenny Dill, Shaun (Skylar Locke) Webster, and Bryce Webster. Great-grandchild; Parker Smith. Sister-in-Law; Lurlie Underwood of Sykes, TN. Brother; Eddie Wayne Yelverton.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Webster are scheduled to be conducted from the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 2PM with Eld. Steven Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Cemetery.
Visitation with the Webster family will be held at the Gordonsville Chapel of Bass Funeral Homes on Saturday from 1PM until 8PM and again on Sunday from 12PM until the time of the service at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, the Webster family requests donations in Mrs. Dorothy’s memory be made to the Union Hill Cemetery Mowing Fund.

Ima Nell Vanatta

Ima Nell Vanatta age 82, of Dowelltown passed away Friday morning at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. She was born April 12, 1937 to her parents the late Floyd “Cuz” and Lilly Frances Luna Young. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Vanatta; a son, Glenn Vanatta; and several brothers and sisters. Ms. Vanatta was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church and was a factory worker. She is survived by her 2 children, Jerry Vanatta of Dowelltown, and Audrey Annette (David) Zoller of Sparta; grandchild, Tamirah Lance; great-grandchildren, Tristen Vanatta, Trevor Lance, Brayden Nicholas; brother, Nelson (Dean) Young of Smithville; sister, Thelma Evans of Smithville; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Monday December 30, 2019 at 11:AM at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Don Mathis officiating and burial to follow in Snow Hill Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday from 12:noon until 6 p.m., and Monday from 9 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
